Thursday, July 27th, 2006

Sam Fisher
Well it looks like Sam Fisher will have to wait before he goes Rouge. Ubisoft confirmed that the latest title in the Splinter Cells will be pushed back until late October. This will be the highly anticipated good guy goes bad version of Splinter Cell. So if you have played the other 4 games in the series you will now get the chance to see what its like on the other side.

In Fisher’s newest roll you conduct mission underwater amid churning ice flows,in blinding sandstorms,or even engulfed with dust and smoke. I think we will see Fisher take care of his dirty work in place like LA, New York, and all over the globe. So stay tuned and when we get more info we will send it your way.To find out where I got this info just go to http://splintercell.us.ubi.com/doubleagent/home.html

MONSTER HOUSE: The Summer of CGI continues…

Wednesday, July 26th, 2006

XBL Radio on: Monster House

The movie was shown in the new Disney 3D format. I can tell you it was beautiful to behold. This year, it seems as if every other film is a CGI movie. What makes Monster House different is the way most of us can relate to being young and curious. Most CGI fanfare has CGI characters like green orgres, talking lions, and clown fish. Monster House is reminiscent of last years Polar Express.(Many of the same team worked on Monster House)

This film was a little intense for small children. However if your kids are like mine, where MI3 and War of the Worlds were fun, then this film should be fine. The only thing about this film that denies it a “Thumb-Up” is the feeling that what happens on-screen is not plausible. Even with such CGI films as Shrek, Madagascar, and Finding Nemo, we are in their world. We accept the reality of what we are shown on-screen. With Monster House, feeling so life-like, the imagination of the CGI kids should have run wild. Instead the script runs out-of-control; and we are along for the ride.

MPAA: Rated PG for scary images and sequences, thematic elements, some crude humor and brief language.

runtime: 91 min

MONSTER HOUSE the game now available on:

PS2, Nintendo Gamecube, GBA and Nintendo DS

Exploring Elveon

Tuesday, July 25th, 2006

We cover the length and breadth of Naon, and submit to you our findings

Elveon is a title that gamers have kind of ignored, for whatever reason, maybe because it’s not Gears of War, or Mass Effect, or Lost Planet, however, having seen the game in action behind closed doors at E3, we can tell you here and now that Elveon could very well be something quite special when it hits next year.

We’ve pooled our resources here at QJ to come up with every scrap of info we have on the game in order to present this glimpse into 10tacle Studios Epic Elvish action RPG.

GALAGA (Download the DEMO WEDNESDAY!)

Tuesday, July 25th, 2006

It’s nastalga time again. Log onto live on Wednesday and get the Galaga game. If your like me you’ll remember the “BONUS STAGE”. Good luck and try for a PERFECT 40!
The only thing that would be truely “PERFECT” is if MS Arcade realeases a true-arcade. Give us a bundle of 5 or more games for one set price. This “get one a week” makes it seem as if they are buying time with those gamers who are demanding titles.

Truth be known, I wouldn’t purchase GALAGA, PAC-MAN, or Frogger for 5 bucks if it was in a bargain bin at my local WAL-MART. Why are we settling for it online? Is it a lack of games? Or is it impulse buying? Either way MS Arcade is making money off thier Arcade Garage-Sale and we don’t even get to haggle over the price…

CARPAL OUT!
