If you are one of the 360 owners who bought a wireless headset and cannot get it to work, you are not alone. It seems that many 360 wireless-headset owners are having trouble being heard! (even with their headsets on)

Over at the official Xbox.com website the forums are full of posts about the lack of support from MS over the wireless headset issues. Many loyal 360 owners were waiting for this headset with high hopes. Here at XBL Radio, where we record on Xbox Live for our LIVE show, we were hoping to have a peripheral that would allow us to use the controller for our LIVE Roundtable: enabling us to have more freedom as we record over LIVE. However Rusty Ranchero and Carpal will both agree that the headset is another stumbling block on the 360 accessory releases.

Issues such as: constant communication drops, excessive beeping during conversations, clarity of dialogue during chats, and a very small line-of-sight area have made the headset more of a hassle than a convenience. Many consumers of the headset have tried, to no avail, to get support on their headset woes. So far MS has yet to acknowledge that the headset is causing a lot of consumer woes. One website, 2 old 2 play, even posted a story about their quest to get support from MS. However, in reading the article it seems we at XBLR are not alone.

So if you can hear us MS (which wont be through the XBOX Wireless Headsets) please help us to have faith that we will soon be able to leave the contollers on the couch as we relieve ourselves during long UNO games!

In an interview, Leo Laporte shares his thoughts about the major console releases coming up and also gives his preditions about which console gamers will buy this Holiday Season.

Without even being asked which consoles Laporte owns, the tech guru went on to interject that he has an original Xbox. Also admitting that he has not stepped into the next generation console market yet, Leo agrees that this is a big year for gaming.

Somthing else he wanted us to keep in mind… “I’m not an expert on gaming, but I do like to game.”  Laporte is probably the most respected man in the subject of technology. He is entitled to his opinions about any topic, especially technologically related material like video game consoles. Without considering that Leo just may know what he’s talking about here, you still may want to take this with a grain of salt. Ohh, and by the way… He also said, “The PS3 stands to be a huge bust.”

In a rare interview, Leo Laporte shares his thoughts about Sony’s major console release right around the corner.

Some might say, “Leo is no gaming expert”. Well, gaming is right up his alley as the subject does harmonize in the realm of technology. Leo Laporte is a Tech Guru, in fact-considered by many-The Tech Guru. With over 250,000 weekly downloads of TWiT and over several hundred thousand more downloads of his other tech publications to go along with his live radio show on KFI 640 AM in LA, Laporte knows what he’s talking about.Â

games that are just unique to the platform-
I think the PS3 may be a really big bust for Sony.”

Laporte knows his stuff. Has he been wrong about things? Not often. Will he be wrong about this one? November 17th is not the day we’ll find out.  Of course the PS3 is gonna sell out that day. But with the Xbox 360 having a year jump start and the Nintendo Wii launching two days later for less than half the price, perhaps there will be a new console king this generation.

That’s right Nike and Apple have teamed up to get you in motion.So go-ahead and pick your mix and motivate your run. Nike+ lets you listen to tunes while you track your progress on an Ipod nano. Simply slip the Nike+ sensor into the Air Zoom Moire shoe pocket, or any other Nike+ Ready shoe, and head out. The Ipod nano tracks your progress, providing feedback on distance, time, pace and calories burned directly through the headphones. After your run, a performance summary appears on the nano screen and can be heard through the headphones. You also will be able to sync the info up to your pc. Now that’s cool. I have a Timex system that pretty much does the same thing but it also keeps your heart rate, and I paid $300 for the system. With this system you will be able to hit the road for around $130 ($100 for the shoes and $30 for the sport kit that goes into the Ipod). So head over to itunes and download the podrunner podcast (one of my favorite exercise podcast) tie your shoes and hit the road running!

Steve519 of the XBL Radio Podcast gets verbal confirmation from TigerDirect.com that his Paid-in-Full purchase of Gears of War for the Xbox 360 will ship in “3-4 days”. Steve Purchased the game on Sunday Sep 24, 2006, well over one month before the official release, “Emergence Day”: Nov 12, 2006.
