where is the game?

Can someone please tell me why the marketplace is so awesome again?

I'm told I'll get a new game every wednesday, but this is the second wednesday in a row with out one

I'm told I can get user developed content, ha, we all know thats a joke

New video trailers for upcoming movies and games

Downloadable music

I'm told I can buy exciting in game content for a great price, ie horse armor, the godfather cheat codes, unlocked tiger woods golfers and madden training video's

I don't know about you guys but I LOVE the marketplace

I have to admit, I am rather disappointed in MS on this one. Actually, according to TeamXBox.com the XBLA release of the week is a Kameo UNO deck! WHAT? Coming on the heels of the Lumines and EA debacles, I really am surprised they dropped the ball on this. I would have much rather them say "Due to Fall Update, No XBLA release this week". I would be much less peaved than them trying to pass an UNO deck as the game of the week. Someone must've told MS that Sony has shot themselves in the foot more times this year than them and they needed to even up the score!

The only defense I will offer up in terms of the content, is I thought they stopped with the weekly XBLA title thing a bit ago, and more just of a general promise to keep trying to get them out. Basically it went hand in hand with the "confident" to get so and so many titles out before the end of the year, but we won't promise it.

UMK3 was the game for last week. Just didnt come out on wendsay. This week it was a UNO deck. It reinvents uno and gives you more to play. Would you rather get nothing or a uno deck? I want the UNO Deck.

BTW, did any one download the PGR3 deck? I did and today i got the Kameo deck for free

I've been pleased with the Marketplace thus far--perhaps because I only ever believed a shred of what MS promised. Frankly, there's much more content--and much better content--than I thought we'd see in the first year.

I'm actually pretty pleased with it too. Truth is, I have more arcade games than I ever thought I'd want to purchase. And they've been keeping me occupied enough to where I'm not as eager to invest the time to play through a retail game with a story or mission arc. The arcade is great for what it is, I think. Sure, there could probably be more, but I'm content with what's out there right now.

Yes the cheats are lame but think of all the good content instead of getting stuck on 1 or 2 bad things

better than nothing. This is the first time MS has done something like this for the xbox. The first one had a very simple system. It might take a while to perfect it.

I think MS and other comapnys are cautious of rolling out new features b/c everyones so critical about them when they suck. Just be happy you have something

racingfreak, first you said think of all the good stuff don't get stuck on one or two things and now you say its better then nothing

don't stick up for MS all the time, if they are screwing up, you have to call them on it, don't let them get away with stupid stuff, remember you are paying for this service, you should have a higher standard because of that

I think its good. But you and other people should appericate you have something that isnt amazing instead of having nothing.

I like the Mp but im saying to you and people who dont like it thats its much better than nothing at all. And the EA cheat thing. Even though MS controls what goes up, not letting EA put us bullshit cheats and videos would piss them off and pissing off EA is not a good thing. They make a lot of games that make a lot of money.

There was a error in the marketplace this morning. You could download the Kameo deck for free. But they took it off and fixed it now.
