This eerily slow video has the statement "11/17/06. The wait is over"
Considering there are only 400,000 systems shipping in U.S. day one, I think the real statement should be something to the extent of...
"11/17/06. The wait has just begun"

Interesting target audience.
I guess 10-15 year olds are the ones they really need to sell to since it's the kid that has to convince the parent to spend the money. I think that commercial will successfuly get that age group hyped up about it.
Very nice touch with the clock on the wall by the staircase that had the time 11:17.
There was something about that commercial that made me feel nastalgia.

That is one of the lamest commercials I've ever seen. I mean, I don't know of any adults that are gonna fork over $600 for a PS3, even those that have kids.
Sony is just goofing up all over the place with this approach, because from day one, they've been pushing the PS3 as a high-end, top-of-the-market gaming/media platform, and children hardly have the money or the influence to make that a reality. Jeez...
