Yea I'm with him mucho better looking than 360. It's purdy, stylish, shiny....Still isn't anything great to look at, but it's a game console, so just jam it in the entertainment center and forget about it.

If i got a PS3(which i wouldnt). I wouldnt be able to put it in my entertainment cabnet b/c it wuold have to go on top but thats where my record player goes

Yeah, that was the supposed problem with the original xbox....you'd think that sony would learn from past mistakes, I mean, look how small their gen 2 ps2 was, and then to go and make something huge? Ohh well, I guess we'll see what happens here in a couple weeks.

well, the fact that sony already had a nice foothold in japan, having released the ps2 well in advance of the xbox debut, was the main factor, but things like the size and appearance of the xbox kept it from growing in popularity. Microsoft obviously considered that with the redesign of the 360.

There's so many more factors than just the early lead the PS2 had, just look at 360 Japanese sales, they are dreadful, and that's putting it nicely. In general the Japanese home console market is going down rather than up. Handheld gaming in many forms is taking over more and more.
