XBLRadio Interview

Infectedpb503 and I had a chance to sit down with Aaron Kraus, Product Marketing Manager for Mirror’s Edge, while we were at the Penny Arcade Expo. Before we go too far into my thoughts of the game, let’s go over the basics first. Mirror’s Edge is being developed by DICE, and published by EA. This title falls under the First-Person Action Adventure genre. and will be released on the PS3, Xbox360, and PC. Read the rest of this entry »

Microsoft to close Ensemble studios when Halo Wars is finished.

Posted under All Games, Console Crimes, Games, Kemanswar, Microsoft, XBL Radio, Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox Live, Xbox Live Arcade

What is going on here, first they close the doors to FASA Interactive, than Bungie is allowed to buy their “freedom” back, and now this. Ensemble Studios will be closed once Halo Wars is finished. As one from the outside I can only guess as to the thinking behind these decisions. It has been confirmed by Microsoft, their reason was a simple one. Read the rest of this entry »

Posted under Activision, DLC, Guitar Hero III, Guitar Hero World Tour, Market Place, Microsoft, PS3, Sony, X3R0 9, XBL Radio

For all you music enthusiasts and video game rockers, this Friday (September 12, 2008) will be a monumental first for both the gaming and music industries. Metallica’s ninth album, Death Magnetic, will be available as downloadable content for Activision’s Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, and you will also be able to pick up the album at your local music store. Also included with this DLC is two renditions of “Suicide & Redemption” that has extended solos by James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett. But don’t let what you read totally impress you because the best has yet to be told. For all you rockers that will be picking up Guitar Hero World Tour, this DLC album is forward compatible. Meaning, all you have to do is pick up Guitar Hero World Tour and the album will seamlessly integrate with the game when it is released this October at no extra charge.

Live anywhere is here….Thanks Raptr.com

Posted under Podcast, XBL Radio

Most of us have a twitter account, or a facebook, and maybe a friendfeed. How nice would it be for you to find out who on your friends list is playing on live, pc, ps3 or wii on your computer or phone from anywhere? The promise of Live anywhere was made a couple of years ago and is still nowhere to be found. Raptr.com allows you to update your twitter account just by playing a game. It will send out you message to all your friends on raptr. I’ve been playing with it the last couple of days and can’t get enough of it. I encourage our readers/listeners to join up and check it out. One of the great features is you don’t have to be on someone’s Xbox Live friend list to see them playing online. Do me a favor and check it out, see what Live anywhere should be.

Make sure your sitting down while reading!

Posted under INFECTEDPB503, XBL Radio

As the saying goes, “Everything that has an beginning as an end” or some BS like that.

Anyways as some know, and rest will now, I am no longer with the crew of XBLRadio here. Reach certain points in life that you know its just time to try something different. And if you didn’t like listening to my voice just watch till where you “see” this ugly mug show up. Yes its still with Platform Nation!, as it is the greatest community I have found!

I wish all the current hosts of XBLRadio a Good Luck and hope all you listeners will continue to give the great feedback you have been to xblradio@platformnation.com.

Thanks for the great times!

Now if you thought that announcement was shocking… you might want to lay down!

As many of you know I happen to be a little-bit of a “360 Fanboy”. Can’t really blame me. Once your able to get past the RRoD it is the better “gaming” console and that’s why I wanted it. Therefore I think some of you may go into a state of shock, straight pass out or go mentally insane the moment you read the rest of this story!

So this is the Official Platform Nation Public Service Warning! Please have 911 dialed into your cell phone, have your thumb on the send key and click the link “for the rest of the story”! Be ready to hit send…

XBLRadio Impression - “Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball” (XBLA)

Posted under Microsoft, X3R0 9, XBL Radio, Xbox Live Arcade

PvNDodgeball

Here is my first impression of Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball that was released to the XBLA this past Wednesday (09/03/08). By no means will this be a final review of the game, as I only played through the story of the Pirates and Ninjas. I will also add that I have not played any online games, so that will not be in here.

Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball is a fairly simplistic game. The main goal of the game is to constantly hit the other team with the ball until the character’s health is gone. That’s about as simple of a description I can give it. The game does have options to make it a little bit more challenging to win though, but I’ll touch on that in a bit, but first I want to jump right into the overview of the game.

XBL Radio Review- Donkey Kong Barrel Blast (Wii)

Posted under Game Releases, Games, Mr B4, Nintendo, Review, Wii, XBL Radio

I have been waiting to rip this game a new one for quite awhile, and now that I have a little free time on my hands, it is going to get what it rightfully deserves. What is up everybody, B4 here again to bring you a review of quite possibly one of the worst games that I have ever played for the Wii, Donkey Kong Barrel Blast.

Now you might be thinking “How could B4 review a game about the Wii and give it a bad rating, he is a nintendo fanboy?”. I am just as much of a fanboy as the next Nintendo gamer, but this game does not do the Wii any justice at all whatsoever. It is so bad that i am going to give every section of this game an F, and not even bother splitting it up into sections, simply because the game does not even deserve it. So before I tell you what is bad about this game, I will tell you one good thing about it, and that is the amount of modes that you can play.
