XBLA Challenge, Small Arms and Lumines Live

    Monday, December 11th, 2006

To win, you have to register! Registration starts on December 11, 2006 and ends December 22, 2006. You only have to register once and you are covered for both games. Once you are registered, start competing since you have two chances to win. Compete in both challenges or just one, it is your choice. If you are one of the best, then you can win a great set of prizes.

    Lumines! Live Challenge: December 17 - 23, 2006
    Small Arms Challenge: December 24 - 30, 2006

    Prizes

    Lumines! Live Challenge

    • Grand Prize: A Hitachi UltraVision 42” Plasma HDTV.
    • Four Runner Up Prizes: A Holiday Challenge Prize Pak including: A HD-DVD bundle and a Wireless Bundle (Wheel, headset).
    • 100 Additional Prizes: 500 MS Points Tokens to be redeemed for Xbox Live imagery.

    Small Arms Challenge

    • Grand Prize: A Hitachi UltraVision 42” Plasma HDTV.
    • Four Runner Up Prizes: A Holiday Challenge Prize Pak including: A HD-DVD bundle and a Wireless Bundle (Wheel, headset).
    • 100 Additional Prizes: A Small Arms Theme/GamerPic and 100 MS Points Tokens to be redeemed for Xbox Live imagery.

Sounds fun, but I wish they were more specific about what exactly are the conditions for winning. Are they just gonna pick random gamers, like they did with the Gears of War Emergence Day Challenge? Perhaps the point here is to buy the games, register and cross your fingers. Either way, I’ll be playing a lot of Small Arms for the 24th to the 30th. You can keep Lumines.

XBL Radio is giving away a free vision camera

    Wednesday, September 6th, 2006

    Yes, you can win this

What’s that? XBL Radio is giving away a free Xbox 360 vision camera? Yep that’s right, XBL Radio is giving away a free vision camera to the winner of the XBL Radio Texas Hold’em Tournament. Next Tuesday, Sept 12 ONLY on the podcast, we will give out the “secret” password to enter the tournament. The tournament will go down Sunday, Sept 17 at 7 PST and it will continue ALL day until we have a winner. So first then, if you are unable to make it, please don’t enter it only to be fair to those that can make it, but don’t let that stop you from listening in to the XBL Radio show.

    Here are the rules/setup:

It will be in multiplayer, tournament game, player match, create match, $50/$100 blinds, and all assigned seats set at private.

If you’re not there, sorry but you’re not in the tournament, I have to be fair to all others.

The last 2 players remaining on the table at the end will advance to the NEXT table the very SAME day.

You must check XBLRadio.com for updates on this tournament, last tournament I tried to message all the contestants about this but Xbox live has limitations so I am not going through that again, its up to YOU to find out who you play.

You must let me know if you wanna be in the tournament by Friday, Sept 15 at midnight PST so I can have the first matches up by Saturday evening.

And finally, I don’t care who hosts or starts up the room, but you must use the options I listed above and the last 2 players standing must message me about who won or I won’t know and you won’t advance. I must have the winners in my inbox or on the forums as soon as the match is over.

I will post the matches here in the XBL Radio forums (brand new by the way!).

And an absolutely huge thanks goes out to Tony from Microsoft and Xbox Live for hooking up XBL Radio with the Vision Cams.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me at Steve@xblradio.com

(all rules are subject to change so make sure your checking out the site)

DON’T FORGET: You must listen to XBL Radio Podcast v26.0 (available Tue 9-12-2006) to get the “secret password” to enter the tournament.

    Uno Tournament Round 2

    Monday, August 28th, 2006

Alright its time for round 2. Round 2 will take place at 7pm pst on Wednesday August 30. Here are the rules, I don’t care who starts up the game as long as it gets started, but you must have standard uno, standard deck, NO CUSTOM RULES and ALL private seats. Now once the game is started, you will continue to play till someone has 3, yes 3 wins. If it is the computer, keep going till a human player has 3 wins. Now it is up to the winner to email who one, if I get no emails about that match, I will consider it a no show on everyones part. Now this is all an honesty tournament here. I can’t sit in on every match and watch so its up to you guys to police each other. Now the 2nd round will start this Wednesday at 7pst UNLESS all parties in that match agree on a different time, but I MUST have all results by Friday morning and then we will continue the finals where someone will be declared the UNO Champion and I will award them with some free MS Points. If you have any more questions feel free to email me at Steve@xblradio.com

Now for the bracket (there were some empty spot so I reinserted the xbl radio staff)

    Uno Tournament Bracket

    Monday, August 21st, 2006

Alright the bracket is made, here are the rules, I don’t care who starts up the game as long as it gets started, but you must have standard uno, standard deck, NO CUSTOM RULES and ALL private seats. Now one thing that I am sorry for is that I couldn’t set the groups the way I wanted to, with day players and night players, but since you don’t have to pay to play oh well I guess, I did do what I could. So with that in mind NOT everyone is going to show, thats to be expected, and again sorry, I was limited to programing restrictions. Now the first round will start this Wednesday at 7pst UNLESS all parties in that match agree on a different time, but I MUST have all results by Friday morning and then we will continue the next round probably Monday. If you have any more questions feel free to email me at Steve@xblradio.com
