Well then, get ready to shell over FORTY BUCKS to Wal Mart. Seems that Harmonix has teamed up with everyone’s favorite neighborhood superstore to bring us 18 songs from the Australian rock legends in a standalone disc format. The game booklet will include an export code that will allow you to download the tracks to your console for use in Rock Band / Rock Band 2.
I have been waiting to rip this game a new one for quite awhile, and now that I have a little free time on my hands, it is going to get what it rightfully deserves. What is up everybody, B4 here again to bring you a review of quite possibly one of the worst games that I have ever played for the Wii, Donkey Kong Barrel Blast.
Now you might be thinking “How could B4 review a game about the Wii and give it a bad rating, he is a nintendo fanboy?”. I am just as much of a fanboy as the next Nintendo gamer, but this game does not do the Wii any justice at all whatsoever. It is so bad that i am going to give every section of this game an F, and not even bother splitting it up into sections, simply because the game does not even deserve it. So before I tell you what is bad about this game, I will tell you one good thing about it, and that is the amount of modes that you can play.

Hey what is up everybody at PN and XBL Radio, Mr B4 here to give you the latest news as to what is going on in the gaming community. I do not have news for you today, what I do have for you is a review of a game that I recently played for the Wii. The game is called We Love Golf, it was developed by Camelot Software Planning, and published by Capcom. It is basically an arcade style golf game like Mario or Hot Shots Golf, but with Wii controls.
Before I get into my thoughts about this game, let us take some time to go over the modes available:

Hey what is up everybody at PN and XBLRadio, Mr B4 here giving you the latest news as to what is going on in the gaming community. Today I have an announcement for you about the upcoming release of a game that everyone who is a gamer, whether they like sports or not, should know what it is. What am I talking about, I am talking about Madden NFL 09. I will be picking up both the 360 and Wii versions of this game tonight when I go to the midnight sale at my local Gamestop.
You might be asking yourself, well, it is just another Madden game with updated rosters and barely any new features at all. Why should I pick it up again? First of all the release of this game marks the 20 year anniversary of the franchise and you should also buy it because of some of the other great features that this game has to provide.
Here are some of the features that this latest installment is going to have, for both the Wii and 360/PS3:
Hey what is up everybody at PN and XBL Radio, it is Mr B4 here bringing you the latest news as to what is going on in the Nintendo community. What I have for you today is a response to a recent Interview that Nintendo’s President Satoru Iwata had with Forbes magazine.
Here is the apology he had for the gamers who were dissapointed with Nintendo’s E3 press conference, especially for the lack of appeal that it brought to the hardcore Nintendo gaming community:
“”We are sorry about [the E3] media briefings, specifically for those who were expecting to see Nintendo show something about ‘Super Mario’ or ‘Legend of Zelda.” said Iwata in an interview with Forbes. He also mentioned that the major titles that the fans were hoping to see take a long, long time to develop. He explained this by saying “However, the fact of the matter is the so-called ‘big titles’ need a long, long development period… We really didn’t think this year’s E3 media briefing was the time to do so.”
Alright, here is my response to his statement. First of all, we do not not need an apology for the lack of a new Super Mario or Zelda game being shown at E3, but we do need an apology for the lack of showing a new game from another major Nintendo Franchise, for the Wii, in the way of either a new Kirby or Kid Icarus game. Second, we all know that major titles take a long, long time to develop, but in order to keep the “gamers” excited about your console, you need to show them some reasons as to why they should keep playing games on it. And to be honest with you, a new snowboarding game, a new Wii sports title, and Wii Music are not going to keep “gamers” interested in your console for very long, if at all.
And finally, when you say that E3 is not the time to showcase your major titles to the world, I say that you are either blind, ignorant, stupid, or all of the above. E3 is the time when every major company shows off their highly anticipated titles to the gaming community in order to spike up their software sales. If you just say that you are making too much money to really give a crap about the hardcore gamer, then I would believe you. But by saying that E3 is not the place to show off your big system selling titles, I simply do not believe or agree with you in anyway shape or form. What that tells me is that you are being lazy in this department, and need to do something about it, or else you will lose your spot as the major company in the gaming community.
My final thoughts on this Interview can be summed up in one statement that I am directing at Nintendo. You say that you are sorry, I say I am tired of the excuses.
That is all from this time gamers, take care and see you next time.
What is up members of P*N and XBLRadio, Mr B4 here giving you the latest news as to what is going on in the gaming community. Instead of a news story for you today, I have a review of a game that I played recently for the Nintendo Wii, through their Wiiware service. The game is called Major League Eating: The Game, it was developed by Mastiff Games, and costs 1,000 Wii points ($10 USD).
Here is a quick rundown of the modes that you will find in this game:
1. Single Player: This mode basically plays out like a game of Mortal Kombat, but instead of moving up in ranks from fighters that you defeat, you will move up in ranks after you defeat each of your eating competitors. You have 10 characters that you can play as, four that you start with, and six that you have to unlock by completing this mode.
2. Versus mode: One-on-one versus play with a friend: same method of playing as single player mode.
3. Online Multi-player: Plays out the same way as both the versus and single player modes, with the exception of leader boards that allow you to track your win-loss record.
As you can already tell, this game does not have much to offer as far as modes go. Let us see if the gameplay can save it at all. Let us get right into the review.
What I, Mr B4, will be reviewing for you today is the Wi-fi USB Connector for both the Wii and DS. The MSRP on this item is $39.99, and can be purchased here or any major video game retailer.
Pluses
+ Provides good internet connection for both the DS and for the Wii
+ Easy to install and use on your computer
Minuses
- Cord to connect USB connector to computer is too short
- Only provides connection for a couple of hours
- Overheats way too easily
- Only compatible with computers that support Windows XP
- Too Expensive
- System needs to be a short distance away from connector in order to work
Just a quick reminder, XBL Radio is currently looking for a new picture to use for the video reviews. So be sure to send your best 640X480 pixel image to us at xblradio@platformnation.
The person who gets their picture chosen will be credited on future video reviews and also win a free copy of Ticket To Ride for the XBLA.
Other than that, take care gamers, see you next time, and good luck with the contest.
What is up everybody at PN and XBL Radio, it is Mr B4 here bringing you the latest as to what is going on in the Nintendo gaming community. I just came across some news recently that I thought you Nintendo gamers might be interested in. What news you might ask?, read on to find out.
The latest issue of Nintendo Power magazine has revealed that Castlevania Judgement and Mega Man 9 have been confirmed for both the Wii console and WiiWare download service. Lets take a minute or two to look at the details that have been revealed so far for these games. I am going to tell you honestly that it is not much, but at the very least it is something. Here is some info about these games:
CastleVania Judgement
Castlevania Judgement is going to be a 3D style fighter featuring famous characters from the Castlevania series. So far, I have found out that Alucard, Simon Belmount, Maria Renard, and Dracula have been confirmed as playable characters for the game. It was also confirmed that there will be interactive environments (IE Mortal Kombat Armageddon) for you to fight in, as well as bosses from the series that will drop in from time to time during battles to add some variety and extra difficulty to the game, and also the ability to use subweapons and hearts. No release date or price have been given as of yet, but expect an announcement on that sometime soon.
Mega Man 9 (Wiiware)
Capcom has also made an announcement that they will be bringing Mega Man 9 to the Wii’s WiiWare game downloading service. Here are the details that I have on the game so far. It is being developed by Inti Creates, which is the team who worked on the first three Mega Man X titles. It will stick to the 8-bit graphics of the original Mega Man series that came out on the NES. It was also said that the game controls like Mega Men 3-6 by the Mega Man Network(not sure if that is good or bad, but still confimed nonetheless). Other than that, the only other details that I could find about this game were the names of the bosses that you will be fighting.
Here are the names of the bosses:
* Magma Man
* Galaxy Man
* Jewel Man
* Concrete Man
* Hornet Man
* Plug Man
* Tornado Man
* Splash Woman
No release date or price has been given as of yet for this Wiiware game, but expect it to fall somewhere between 800 ($5.00) and 1000($10.00) Wii points.
Here are some of my quick thoughts about these games. It is nice to see Mega Man 9 stick to its original roots that made the game great back in the NES days, with the same graphics, gameplay, and types of boss fights that we have all grown to know and love over the years. Castlevania Judgement on the other hand, is a little bit of a risky idea, especially since previous fighting titles that have come out for the Wii have seen lackluster reviews by most gaming sites (IE Mortal Kombat Armageddon, Soulcalibur Legends). I would have like to have seen a Castlevania game that sticks to the formula that made its other titles successful in the past, but I am guessing that only time will tell on this one.
The choice as to whether or not you should buy, rent, or ignore these games, I will leave up to you.
Until next time gamers, this is B4 signing off.
Take Care,
Mr B4
