Who am I (Wasn’t that a Jackie Chan movie?): Mike Kaczmarski – X3R0 9
What the hell am I? Well, I’m a gamer. I love playing games. I own most of all the systems, down to and including Atari 2600 and a Commodore. I do have all the current gen systems (PS3, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii, and a DS). I’m a huge Halo fanboy, but I don’t get into the whole competition part of it, I like the game as a game not as a sport. I’m a father of twin girls and married. I’m work full time as a mechanical draftsman, while also being a full time student getting my B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Computer Forensics. So as you can tell, I live a very busy life, but I ALWAYS find time to game with my fellow gamers.
Where am I at? I’m currently located in the rich historical area of Charleston, SC.
Why am I here? Why am I here at XBLRadio? Well, XBLRadio was the very first podcast I ever listened to. I enjoyed the show, so I made sure that I listened every other week. Then I checked out the Live on Live show…and that sealed it. A podcast that was there for the community. The hosts were great and they loved interacting with the members on a show! At that point I decided to check out the forums to see how the community was. The community was filled with gamers that thought the same way I did, and that was a huge plus. I had a hard time fitting in with the other communities, but the XBLRadio community welcomed me in and I’ve been gaming with you all ever since. So how did I become one of the hosts of XBLRadio? Well, I was asked by Carpal last year to join him as a co-host when The Other Guy left to spend time with his family. At that time I was looking at starting something up, but when Carpal asked, I was honored to join him. And now I’m joined by 2 great hosts: KemansWar and INFECTEDPB503
When was my punk ass born? February 1980
Who: Joe Richardson - Kemanswar
What: 19 years of gaming has taught me that…well it hasn’t taught me much now has it. Getting married this September (2008)
Where: A Colorado native, I currently live in Denver.
When: Born June 1982
Why: I have always loved video games, I can remember playing Atari, and the Christmas my family got a NES. I understand a lot about how games work/play and the business involved in keeping the medium alive and well. XBL Radio was one of the 1st podcasts I listened to, and I am proud to be a host now. I came to be a host because of X3R0, he talked to Carpal and brought me along for the ride.
Who: Zachary Teuscher - INFECTEDPB503
What: I, guess, would be considered a “360 Fanboy” and therefore a die hard 360 fan/supporter. I have had the RROD and I do keep going back to the Best HD gaming experience there is out there.
Where: Salem, Oregon
Why: XBLRadio was the second podcast I started listening to. I started hanging out at the other shows site and forum, but soon found myself wanting more. Came over to the xblradio blog/site and found a lot of like minded gamers that I could relate to more. I always wanted to contribute more. Late last year that all came and I was honored enough to be asked to co-host XBLRadio. It is/was one of my dreams that came to life!
When: Born June 1977
Who: Matthew Hedrick- Mr.B4
What: I am a writer for the site, as well as a host of the Gamer’s Video Update along with Steve519. According to Zac, I am not only a Nintendo Fanboy, but also a Wii expert. I also play games on my PSP and Xbox 360 from time to time, but the DS and the Wii is where I spend most of my time playing games.
Where: Brook Park, Ohio(which is a suburb of Cleveland Ohio)
When: I joined XBL Radio in Spring 2007. I was born on Nov 4th, 1984.
Why: I joined XBL Radio originally because of Steve519. When he was still with XBL Radio he sent me a friend request over on Myspace. I started to watch some of his video updates, listened to a couple of shows(first episode was 30.5), and have been a part of the community ever since. My first opportunity to become a larger part of the community was also given to me by Steve, when he gave me a chance to be a writer for XBL Radio. Since then, I have stayed along with the site since it gave me my first crack and becoming a bigger part of the gaming community. And the rest, as they say, is history.
