No E3, But PAX Is Better Anyways…
Posted under XBL Radio by Silent Cypher
It used to be that a man would get extremely excited for a certain time of year. No, I do not mean Superbowl Time! I’m talking about a beautiful little thing we have long known as E3. It was the time when developers, game store employees, and crazed gamers could all get together and drool about the latest tech. Those days are gone now, but they are replaced with more news, and more games being released in the summer.
These days are great for us gamers. The developers aren’t focusing all of their efforts to show us ‘in development’ games, and instead are releasing more ACTUAL product. And I don’t know how, but many developers are shifting their big press event towards fall (PAX), yet it’s not affecting the stellar holiday release schedule.
All of this culminates, and PAX is tripled in size for this year. Are you going to the Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) ? If you aren’t, you really should figure a way to get up to the show in August. Time is closing in on us, so don’t be lazy… get things ready to go. This event could be a truly amazing experience this year with all of the games being shown on the floor, it’s a must see. And hey, you could bump into one of the hosts from the site… Very Nice!

I wish I could go, but logistically things aren’t in my favor. You’ll all have to party without me.
This will be the first time that I have gone to anything like this. I once went to a Star Trek convention and met George Takai. I am sure some of the same people will be at PAX.
I’m really not going to rattle our sabers, or pass out business cards to EA. What I have done by taking the plunge from “Average Gamer/with Podcast” to “Average Gamer with Podcast/who could have owned a PS3 but instead met someone who met someone who met Bill Gates” is getting together with a few listeners and putting a face with those in the industry and our cast.
Should be fun!
Im getting Rust DRUNK
!!!! heee..heee.. Silent get that fake ID ready!
THOSE SOUND LIKE FUN! IM WILLING TO GO TO AN E3 BUT HOW MUCH WILL THEY COTS AROUND AND HOW FAR ARE THEY?
Check it all our at http://www.pennyarcadeexpo.com/
I think it’s under $50 to get in, it’s the airfare and hotel that’ll kill the pocket book, so if you live close to Seattle (Steve), you are golden
I guess we all crash at Steve’s house… C U There!
