MrCarpalTunnel, after giving saints row a 3 because a bit of fowl language, you would think that with and the blood and guts in G.O.W that you would have to deducted at least 1 point off it.
I mean if you give saints row 3/10, I don’t think any game could ever get 10/10.
Am I been over critical?
O.K. Here is my reasoning:
1. I don’t mind cursing, if I did I wouldn’t listen to SQUAD XP and Gamer Andy. It wasn’t the cursing in Saints Row that I was offended by. It was the way in which it used foul lauguage as “Shock Value” wich such phrases as “Opps I thing you just got some on my dress” and other phrases I choose not to quote here. I would rather my games have a little bit more maturity to them.
2. Gears did have profanity within i, but just like FILM, it was used in such a way I could see myself saying the same phrases in a simular situation. Like in Saving Private Ryan, many a soldier cursed within perilous situations. However I would never find myself in or around a situation like the wanna-be gangsta Saint’s Row.
So there it is. I think I also stated in my review of both what “I” got from the games. Gears had a great flow and tactful dialogue for the situation. SAINTS had no class for “ME” and was overly raunchy in its dialogue. Therefore with gameplay simular to GTA and excessive foul voice-overs I had to give it a bad review for “ME”. Whereas GOW had fantastic gameplay and great voice-overs that placed you into the action. So to be true to myself, I gave it a 10.
Hope this clarifies the matter. Anything else would be based on personal taste.
Finally got to listen to the show and it was [Marcus]“Sweet”[/Marcus]. Nice work on the production. Great Zune review and game reviews. Nice sound effects and audio clips, you really went out on this one. Happy Thanksgiving.

ok, first off, I admit a friend sent me the link here to win a copy of GOW. But I did just subscribe to the show and will listen to it. I love video game podcasts and I am addicted to xbox live.
I can’t wait to hear what you guys thought of GOW, so far I have heard its the best game ever and its….ahh ok. You guys might be the deciding vote for me, at least until I play it myself.
